MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary focus of the Sales Engineer’s job is to generate income for the company through maintaining the current customers and digging hard for new business opportunities. He is directly in charge of the sales function in his area and develops strong business relationships with all his customers and pays specific attention to the big ones. He recommends new accounts to complement the existing portfolio through studying very well the industrial lines of customer. The Sales Engineer should make sure his customers’ needs are delivered correctly and accurately in time and company dues are settled also in time through proper facilitation of collection. He also makes sure all service needs of his customers are well communicated to his manager plus all available information about the competitors as well. Finally, Sales Engineer works hard to develop himself and always upgrades his capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES
The responsibilities include the followings:
1. To implement a full customer coverage plan.
2. Following up current and future proposed projects whether on the micro or macro levels.
3. Exerting the maximum effort for continuously searching for new opportunities.
4. Maintaining strong relations with the customers and pays special attention to the key customers. He is always trying his best to keep his customers delighted.
5. Gathering all information about the competitors (technical info., Prices, stock all to be submitted to the area manager).
6. Facilitating collection process when required.
7. Advising the manager with customers service needs.
8. Customer’s goods delivery according to estimated schedule.
9. Strictly achieving the assigned targets (goals).
10. Working hard on self development including personal and career issues.
