This position is responsible for executing assigned tasks relevant to the procurement of imported products and supplies related to the furniture industry and home decoration items.
• Develops RFQ packages and communicates it to the relevant suppliers
• Evaluates quotations submitted by suppliers
• Negotiates and/or supervises commercial negotiations with suppliers
• Responsible for arranging the shipment of products from country of origin, following up on shipments arrivals and customs releases, alerting warehouses regarding stores preparation, receiving any complaints concerning the supplied items and communicating it to suppliers.
• Evaluate & analyze potential suppliers and annual review of existing suppliers reviewing costs, quality, delivery, and other pertinent factors.
• Review repeated orders to compare prices, and report to Procurement Manager any changes in prices and discuss with suppliers the reason of these changes.
• Assist the materials and planning departments in setting inventory goals for assigned product lines.
• Responsible for receiving the relevant shipping documents from suppliers, following up on sending these documents to the banks for approval and sending these to documents to customs for clearance.
• Liases between Shipping Agent and suppliers.
• Responsible for following up on payments to suppliers and ensuring that all banking procedures are complete.
