The System engineer is responsible for providing server administration to the Linux/Windows servers located Incubaid-Egypt Datacenter. The System Engineer is responsible for the perfect design of network topology. Duties include setup and operation of all internal and external applications and systems. This work could include provisioning of new servers, log monitoring, backup monitoring, new systems setup (implementation and configuration) as well as doing research and suggesting improvements to existing systems. Linux System Engineer would manage Linux and windows desktop machines. This includes the ability to work closely with Development and Infrastructure teams, and above all else, understanding the urgency of fixing problems "in real time" when they occur. Experience supporting IT Risk remediation projects is a major plus. The selected candidate will be responsible for the day to day operations of our IT infrastructure, the deployment of new systems, and some system security aspects of our Operations. Responsibilities • Configure and maintain Linux and windows servers for production, corporate, development & test use. • Experience building and managing Windows-based servers and workstations, and supporting Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange • Daily monitoring and maintenance the machines. • installing/maintaining open source software (OpenVPN, Samba, Apache, Vsftpd ...etc) • Responsible for the stability, reliability and efficiency of the systems. • Familiarity with administering of the Atlassian Jira and Confluence systems • Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining virtual servers using Xen/Virtual-box • Ensure that important data is backed up. • Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
