Regional Marketing Manager

- Plans, organizes and directs marketing activities for the hospital to extend and increase use of the hospital facilities.
- Develops long-term marketing objectives for the hospital and plans campaigns and programs to meet such goals.
- Periodically changes to effect improvement or react to changes in the organization or industry.
- Researches and evaluates a variety of trends and parameters of Hospitals and Centers usage, services utilization, community needs and physician preferences.
- Conducts formal and informal studies of physicians, Hospital/Centers’ patients, and social/community agencies to assess needs and evaluate potential markets.
- Performs market research studies and evaluates competitive hospitals and health care services.
- Develops, recommends presents a long and short-term marketing strategy for the hospital, suggest new services, new facilities, improvement in procedures or levels of care that would open up new markets.
- Develops projections of probable usage and cost benefits of new services.
- Evaluates and defines the selling points of hospital services and develops suitable advertising theme, slogans and logos.
- Encourages use of such themes in hospital publications and signs. Conducts research to evaluate the effectiveness of hospital marketing techniques and media.
- May evaluate and assist in negotiating the acquisition of new facilities such as health centers, specialized or long-term care facilities.
- Negotiates provision of services and contracts for specialized health care with appropriate agencies, third-party insurers or industrial concerns.
- Reviews physician practice arrangements and health maintenance groups for potential marketing associations with the hospital.
- Prepares presentations to the Board and Administrative groups to explain the marketing program of the hospital.
- Develop awareness of the marketing activities of the hospitals.
- Develops and recommends department operating budgets.
- Ensures that the department operates with allocated funds.
- Maintains required records, reports and files.
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as requested.
- Maintains professional affiliations as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
