Communication Manager - Special Events


· Manage PR department.
· Recruit, hire, train, and manage PR specialists.
· Develop PR strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to improve public perception of company.
· Improve management and employee relations.
· Prepare and publish newsletters and other company literature.
· Create motivational videos.
· Release promotion literature about new products.
· Draft speeches with chief executives.
· Respond to information queries from media and the general public.
· Write press releases and media kits.
· Develop and maintain corporate image and logos.
· Manage company sponsorships.
· Maintain effective working relationships with government officials and media representatives.
· Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs.
· Manage an organization's reputation with the public in general and clients.
· Compile comprehensive information about the company for the media.
· Develop and launch Internet or intranet web pages.
· Manage communications budgets.
· Confer with the labor relations managers in order to develop internal communications to inform employees of various company activities.
· Liaise with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email.
· Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media.
· Collate and analyze media coverage.
· Write and edit in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports;
· Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes;
· Coordinate photo opportunities;
· Organize events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours;
· Maintain and update information on the organization’s website;
· Manage and update information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook;
· Source and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities;
· Foster community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives;
