Senior Data Management Assistant (Socio-Economic Assessment)

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Data Management Officer and the coaching/supervision of the Data Management Associate G6, the incumbent will carry out the following tasks:
Resource Management:
• Transfer project relevant assets to implementing Partners
• Follow-up with implementing Partners to assist in recruitment and / or capacity building activities in data management
• Revise implementing partner’s infrastructure and suggest enhancements according to their capacity
• Identify knowledge and hardware gaps of the operation in relation to all aspects of data management.
Data Management:
• Revise and enforce data collection procedures
• Revise and enforce the project's data quality procedures
• Revise and enforce the project's data protection & security procedures
• Revise, support and follow-up on data synchronization processes
• Revise and enforce regular data clean-up process
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan identifying staff / implementing partner’s responsibilities for backup and/or storage
• Establish and maintain file system to match records in system with phsical files and spot any missing files
• In coordination with the relevant technical units, develop forms and tools for data collection and analysis, including contributing to the development of updated versions of the socio-economic assessment questionnaire.
Reporting:
• Regularly update relevant colleagues on progress, obstacles and developments in areas under his/her responsibility.
• Submit periodic project progress report.
• Submit a periodically data quality report for the most common issues faced in the data collected with numbers
• Submit analytical reports that interpret on collected data
Capacity Building:
• Provide training, as necessary, to UNHCR staff as well as staff members of implementing partners in relevant aspects of data management
• As necessary accompany caseworkers in field trips/home visits and provide technical support as and when required.
• Maintain relations with relevant data management staff with implementing and operational partners and other stakeholders in order to promote successful implementation of the project in their respective areas of operation;
• Contribute to developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for targeting assistance to persons of concern in Egypt;
The incumbent will be required to:
- Assist in developing Version 3 of the Socio-economic Assessment.
• Generate Refugee-specific statistical and analytical reports from the SEA generated and shared.
• Provide timely technical support to Caseworkers.
• Produce regular reports prepared on progress, trends, challenges and achievements of the project
•Perform any other duties as required.
