1. Translate documents and other material from one language to another Following the translation styles, guidelines or instructions given by the company/client Following established rules such as sentence structure, grammar and punctuation Searching for the proper translation using all the possible means (internet, project references, etc) Editing the target text to ensure cohesion and consistency Ensuring consistency in terminology and style Ensuring linguistic accuracy Ensuring that all items in the workflow system translator checklist are applied 2. Check and revise the finished work: Checking whether the meaning has been conveyed or not Ensuring that there are no omissions or errors in the target text and making any necessary amendments accordingly Applying the corrections/comments of the reviser on the translated material Applying the corrections/comments of the clients on the translated material 3. Study terminology/coinage and search for the appropriate term according to context 4. Enter the translation/terminology in a translation memory program 5. Revise the work of the Translator to ensure higher quality
