Role Purpose
Maintain technologically advanced withcutting edge tools and applications, as well as with emerging technologiesrelated to the business demands and in line with the allocated resources andbudget by performing business needs assessment and ensuring that servers, systems, business applications and communications' capabilities within the organizationsupport the operational needs as well as internal and external customerrequirements.
Accountabilities:
Ensure effective Implementation of the organization'strategy (short and long term).Manages the IT department’s budgets(personnel and assets).
Manage and control IT Projects, effectively, with particular emphasis on supporting the SQL database and the ERP system inall stores to support the business strategy.Implement, update and review current ITsystems and develop proposals with recommendations for enhancing the business.
Support and enhance the IT infrastructure, ensuring that the tools are fully utilized by all functions to run theprocesses with maximum efficiency.
Liaise with the Internal Audit team andimplement controls in terms of Cash POS, Inventory, and Exchange & Refundas to prevent any fraudulent transactions.
Implement the Staff Scheduling System and ensure furtherdevelopments to measure productivity by store.
Ensure the effectiveness of IT tools tosupport the processes in relation to logistics and warehousing, POS &Exchange/Refund and Finance.
Respond the requests from the functionalheads and provide the relevant and up to date Business Information/solution tosupport the entire organization.
Ensure that the head Office has the supportand infrastructure to support the organization's expansion plans.
Supervise programmers and lead the IT team inidentifying new technologies and solutions for consideration and adoptionLead the ERP project to ensure successfulimplementations and acts as the project manager.
Coordinates with external consultants to planand organize implementation tasks.Liaise with the Principals on any IT relatedissues, maintaining good relations with them whilst ensuring that the local business objectives are met.
Standardizes technologies and platforms usedin the operation.Work closely with the Learning &Development team in relation to providing technical trainings for storemanagers and co-workers as appropriate on the correct working methods andbusiness processes.
Oversees the administration and maintenanceof organization’s IT infrastructure.
Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, anddisaster recovery and provides expert support.
Liaise with the OD team in relation to all ITpolicies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, and service provision.Identifiesoptions for potential solutions and assesses them for both technical andbusiness suitability.
Lead and control IT initiativesand optimize existing technologies used by the organization to provide theoptimum service to internal and external customers.
