• Drafts project-specific Cost Control Procedures if the contract so requires
• Participates in preparing Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and establishing Project Cost Centres
• Participates in transforming the Tender Estimate into Project First Budget
• Ensures that costs are properly allocated to relevant Cost Centres
• Participates in preparing budgets and current estimates
Engineer required to work in Saudi Arabia:
• Participates in estimating new rates, pricing of variations, assessment of claims’ cost impact
• Monitors project actual costs, determine and analyze cost variances and develop cost trends and projections using and presenting the Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled, Budgeted Cost for Work Performed, Actual Cost for Work Scheduled, Actual Cost for Work Performed and Cost Performance Index
• Participates in preparing cost reports or providing the necessary information for such reports.
• Maintains records of actual cost elements (materials, equipment, manpower etc.) to use in the Project Close-Out Report and to provide feedback to tendering department.
• Liaises with project different sections in cost allocation, accounting and control matters.
• Participates in preparing the Project Close-Out Report and Lessons Learnt.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned.
Cost Planning:
• Preparing cost analysis, cost breakdown for tender projects.
• Coordinate with account department for account codes and cost center.
• Design cost forms for monitoring.
Cost Measuring:
• Measuring Actual cost.
• Assign actual cost on cost centers.
• Comparing actual cost with target.
• Monitoring Time Schedule.
Analysis of Cost Deviations:
• Identify actual cost for actual executed items.
• Identify planned cost for actual executed items.
• Identify planned cost for planned items.
• Identify Time schedule deviations.
• Preparing Corrective actions report.
