Purpose
• Long term relationships with account portfolios are maintained, grown and built up proactively in order to facilitate product sales, services and any kind of requests (e.g. complaints).
• The understanding of customer needs is constantly reviewed and drives the behaviour. The position communicates effectively inside and outside the organization and assists to identify new opportunities for new products and/or for enhancement and development of existing products and services.
• The implementation of the business line’s specialty strategy is a key focus in the region. Unique selling propositions are developed in various markets such as life science, food, environmental and textile
• Activities of competitors and potential collaborators are actively monitored. Regional market intelligence is continuously updated to determine the company’s current position of products and services and to identify new markets and business opportunities both geographical and by industry sector.
Responsibilities
• Broad coverage of Egypt, GCC and Levant market for untapped potential
• Identification of opportunities for additional growth
• Cultivation of excellent client relationship
• Techno commercial support for clients
• Regular market surveys for identifying trends, evolving applications and competition
• Cooperating with Germany and regional offices
• Handling of commercial claims and disputes
• Generate inquiries/sales by visiting existing and potential customers
• Plan and execute sales visits as well as technical visits on a regular basis
• Introduce new products to customers or for new applications
• Coordinate, manage and handle distributors, agents and traders
• Negotiation of supply agreements and contracts with all accounts
• Support customers in cases of complaints, including negotiation of settlements and/or mutual agreements
• Provide feedback from customers to enhance product performance and service delivery
• Deliver presentations at customers, conferences and exhibitions
• Accounts receivable management
• Organise and participate in conferences, seminars, trade shows and fairs
