- Organize and manage the key maintenance department activities across all shifts.
- Co-ordinate with all staff to identify and issue appropriate job assignments, ensuring we always maintain a high GMP standard and ensure production readiness on all assets at all times.
- Establish preventive maintenance schedules and recording system to minimize major breakdowns and lost production time.
- Provide feedback and support to department staff, including weekly meetings focused on safety and performance.
- Ensure that all maintenance programs are appropriate and adhered to.
- Regularly review and revise plans for PM activity, department scheduling and training.
- Ensure that proper Spare Parts Inventory levels are maintained at all times.
- Provide emergency response to maintenance items as required.
- Develop strong working relationships with all staff and with all departments within the facility.
- Expertly provide training to Maintenance Team and all Operations Team Members to achieve their goals. Provide technical training evaluations and execution.
- Creatively help to solve problems while contributing to team building in a Continuous Improvement environment.
- Set a good example with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Collaborate with Technical manager on a day by day basis, representing the Maintenance dept. in Capital projects.
- Ensure the Technical manager is informed of all activities that impact day to day production
