Main Responsibilities
Create target architecture that addresses the organization strategy and produce IT roadmap
Contribute in the RFP generation and evaluation of new network elements and solutions to ensure consistency and covering over all solution requirements.
Review designs made by domain experts in business, application and technology domains.
•Research, collaborate, and influence vendors and internal development teams to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
•Document and communicate the enterprise architecture
• Assess changes required on the base line enterprise architecture and performing an impact analysis.
• Work with solution architects to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs.
Enterprise Architects provide guidance to the solution architects who apply enterprise standards and guidelines at the project level.
Management of the solution portfolio over time. Facilitate the content development of the enterprise solution architecture, including identifying and categorizing solution patterns and associated financial and technical condition information.
The position assumes one or more of the following roles:
Enterprise business architect: Focused on the conceptualization and development of the business architecture, and requires skills in strategy and planning, facilitation techniques, financial modeling, and process modeling.
Designs and refines the future-state processes for the business. In this role, facilitation of workshops and documentation of results are the critical tasks for gathering information from other business experts.
Enterprise information architect: Focused on the high-level information repositories and information flows that will meet the requirements of the business strategies and business processes. The required skills are strategy and planning, information modeling, and workshop facilitation. The information architect must have an understanding of key business information and its management, but does not require detailed data design skills.
Application architect: Focused on the portion of the solution architecture that relates to the analysis and design of applications, and is responsible for determining the core set of leverageable design artifacts that will effectively guide subsequent application construction efforts. These artifacts can be commercial off-the shelf (COTS) components, stand-alone applications, reusable services or ERP systems
Enterprise technology architect: Focused on the development of technology principles, standards and patterns that are highly leverageable across multiple solutions. The technical architect provides the bridge between the deeply technical domain architects and the solution architects to ensure that the technology infrastructure meets the goals of extensibility and complexity reduction.
