We are seeking to hire a Logistics Specialist to ensure accurate and on time reporting for Service providers performance and the clearance updates. As well as making sure that all KPI's are captured and recorded on time. Your Job responsibilities will be including but not limited to the following:
* Co-ordinate and communicate with the IIDME, for all inbound order documentation generated for inbound shipments.
* Filing and maintaining records as per IKEA and audit requirements.
* Check all invoices received from supplier against the container card and tally the quantity, value and volume.
* Report any discrepancies in documentation and goods to supplier.
* Organise all documentation related to Sea / Air shipments for Import / Export and liaise with the shipping companies / freight forwarders / Customs Agents regarding all IKEA shipments in order to be cleared as per guide lines.
* Work closely with the retail warehouse regarding all inbound containers.
* Follow up the clearance processes inside the external warehouse with the GOEIC and Customs authorities.
* Factor warehouse and store containers and provide the container flow plan to the transport / AFL and stores.
* Conduct weekly damage inspections and make spot decisions on damaged stock as per IKEA business requirements.
* Monitor the ERP quality control system and report all discrepancies.
* Check on container turnaround time and gr timings with the warehouse
* Salvage goods for ASIS and co-ordinate with the Stores on intake.
* Assist the SO Logistics Team with the inventory cycle count stock take / Stock movements
About You
As a Logistics Specialist you will be a university graduate with 3-5 years of experience in inventory and warehouse management. Previous knowledge of Customs Documentation/ Shipping Operations / Warehousing is required.
As a Logistics Specialist, you need to demonstrate the following skills:
* Advanced computer skills are required (MS Office) and working knowledge of Operating Systems (Navision, Exceed) Competency Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Analytical skills
