Acts as a prime interface between the Client and the Contractor
Receive and review all projects’ documents (AAW/Client agreement, construction contract, drawings and specifications…)
Lead site supervision staff in controlling overall project Quality, Safety, Progress and Cost objectives
Maintain control over his staff regarding personnel matters, timekeeping, absenteeism, general discipline etc.
Ensure all project documentation are properly controlled
Review AAW scope of work
Participate in handing over the site to the contractor
Review and approve layout of site temporary facilities including boundary fence
Conduct a kick-off meeting at the mobilization phase
Set up project files
Review and approve the contractor’s time schedule
Review and approve Contractor’s submittals for
Method Statement, Quality Control Procedure, Inspection and Test Plan and Safety Plan in co- ordination with disciple engineers
Review and approve shop drawings and material submitted by contractors in coordination with discipline engineer.
Ensure site staff involvement and implementation of Field Quality Control Procedures, Safety and Progress aspects
Co-ordinate and review site staff performance and ensure compliance with AAW/ Client contract and good practice
Lead site staff in supervision the execution of work to ensure that it is executed to correct level, and that materials and workmanship complies with the specifications.
Lead site staff in supervision of tests to be carried out at the site
Conduct site progress meetings, quality meetings, co-ordination meetings, safety meetings and technical meetings
Holds weekly staff meetings to review detailed field schedule
keeping of diary constituting a detailed history of the work and all happening at site
Prepare and submit AAW regular weekly and monthly progress reports
Preparation of monthly report to be submitted to the Client
Preparation AAW invoices to be submitted to the Client in co- ordination with the Projects Manager
Review and approve interim and final payment due to the contractor
Keep records of the evaluation of claims and variations
Lead site staff in reviewing and implementation pre-commissioning and commissioning plan
Lead site staff in final inspection of work and preparation of Punch List. (With full co-ordination with Client/end user)
Make sure that As-Built drawings, vendor and equipment warranties, O&M manuals, Spare Parts and Training programs as submitted by contractor are reviewed by all disciplines and verified against contract requirements
Participate in preliminary handing over of the project
Lead site staff in reviewing and assessing of the Close-Out report submitted by contractor
Preparation and submission of AAW Close-Out report
Communicate with Project Manager in charge continuously
