FI 001 Financial Manager - Beshay Steel

Purpose of Role:

A key member of the Senior Management Team responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the organization and also responsible for budgeting, reporting on the financial performance to management and the finance department.

Responsibilities:

- Statutory financial reporting for audit, in line with GAAP regulations.
- Prepare SORP accounts and arrange audit.
- Prepare accounts for any subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts.
- Preparation of Annual Budget and forecasts.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Receive all purchase invoices and ensure they are appropriately authorized in accordance with the financial procedures.
- Make payments of all authorized invoices.
- Raise all invoices and requests for payment; chase outstanding invoices.
- Resolve all supplier enquiries.
- Receive all receipts and ensure payments are appropriately allocated.
- Create appropriate book keeping entries system, create accruals where necessary.
- Communicating strategy and policy decisions to senior management. Provide sound financial advice to Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer, Directors and other senior management, acting as the leading interface between management and department on financial matters.
- Ensure that the appropriate vision and processes are in place to ensure the long-term financial availability and advise directors on the financial consequences of proposed actions.
- Lead the organizations strategy planning and budgeting processes ensuring strong processes are in place for resource allocation and performance monitoring at all levels.
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are up to date.
- Ensure appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are embedded throughout at strategic and operational levels.
- Producing and presenting financial reports, cash flow forecasting and VAT reporting.
- Providing an external interface with banks, auditors, pension funds, investment managers, consultants and finance specialists.
- Manage relationships with the outsourced payroll provider, ensure accurate and timely payment.
- Ensure appropriate backups of financial information are stored off-site.
- Provide and/or co-ordinate all accounting and taxation services and advice to the organization.
- Provide management, support and development to all teams and team members within their areas of responsibility.
