Operations Manager

Create a unique retail experience in line with NOLA’s brand which meets the needs of our diverse audience by being responsible for the development and performance of all retail activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a retail team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values through:
 
 Tour the stores regularly to identify challenges and ensure compliance with company strategies, standards, and policies.
 Accountable for handling the POS system and resolving POS related issues through follow-up on stores activities to ensure smooth store operations.
 Manage prompt maintenance of stores and maintain a creative look and feel to the interiors, exteriors and displays.
 Initiate changes to improve NOLA stores as well as reviewing and updating operation processes when necessary.
 Maintain staffing levels consistent with business needs including peak seasons to ensure excellent customer service (includes assisting with recruiting and hiring employees).
 Ensure adequate shift coverage which may require the Retail Manager to cover shifts in the event there are no other employees available to work.
 Organize and execute booths and events by coordinating staff, product levels and logistics necessary.
 Maintain sufficient levels of product and material stocks and control leftovers to a maximum of xx% through identifying current and future customer requirements.
 Handle representatives from the health and safety government institutes in coordination with the Legal department.
 Brief and update the Senior Management Team with store operations, successes, and challenges through weekly meetings.
 Oversee social media activity ensuring all portals are updated live promptly with latest happenings.
 Prepare and analyze sales reports generated through the POS using the IT system to address challenges and forecast sales.
 Ensure that all monthly attendance records and payroll are finalized and processed to the Finance Department on the 26th of every month.
 Safe guard and account for all money received and disbursed by ensuring effective systems for cash handling are implemented.
 Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
 Identify potential expansion and income generation opportunities including targeting BTB deals. 
 Organize and execute special promotions and displays to maximize sales.
 Motivate, manage, and set examples for retail representatives.
 Conduct quarterly reviews with all retail representatives to ensure high performance is maintained.
 Participate fully in training/awareness sessions, skill building and professional development classes for new and existing retail employees.
 Manage the yearly trainees assigned during the summer internship programme.
 Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and focus on the customer experience.
 Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; and making recommendations to management.
