Coordinator, Technical Vocational Education Training - Aga Khan Foundation, Egypt

Main Responsibilities:
• Overall management of the TVET centre/s.
• Implementing and monitoring quality measures and standards across all TVET program elements.
• With the support of TVET instructors, designing, developing and delivering curricula, lesson plans and assessments for all programs.
• Selecting, developing and managing TVET instructors and implementing quality improvement measures.
• Supporting Senior Program Manager and Research and Policy team in leading policy dialogue and policy framework development in all aspects of TVET provision
Accordingly, the TVET coordinator will be expected to:
• Introduce new demand driven vocational and technical trainings.
• Participate in dialogue, needs assessment, and efficacy review with the industry and adapt programs to market needs.
• Work with the Academic Officer to assure that TVET courses are properly accredited through appropriate government bodies
• Work closely with all ASDP partners, including relevant government ministries, to ensure that courses are aligned with national TVET strategies
• Ensure workshops at the CEC or other partners are adequately equipped
• Supervise the maintenance of training equipment and workshop spaces.
• Provide input into the acquisition of teaching and learning materials such as textbooks
• Provide feedback to the Academic Officer on student performance
• Administer the evaluation of TVET instructors
• Work collaboratively with the ASDP Canadian Technical Partner on all elements of joint TVET program development
• Work closely with the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Education, the private sector and industry, the Canadian Technical Partner, as well as other local partners to deliver on programmatic goals and outcomes.
• Help collect relevant academic data and share this with the ASDP Senior Manager and Academic Officer
• Assist with the monitoring and updating of all information relating to academic performance, and reporting information to the ASDP M&E team, Academic Officer, and Program Senior Manager.
• Owns student recruitment and selection and works collaboratively with other CoE departments towards achieving optimum student enrolment.
• Other duties and related special projects as assigned
