The role of Planning and Performance Manger is based in Cairo HQ, co-located with the Industrial Sector leadership, and reports to the Head of Finance for the Industrial Sector. The post holder will be fully accountable for delivering all aspects of the planning, economic evaluation, financial and non-financial performance management of the Sector. As a member of the Industrial Sector’s extended leadership team the post holder will also be expected to understand the full activity set of the Sector and to communicate effectively with technical, commercial, and supply chain teams.
The role will have lead a team of direct reports and a key part of the role will be to coach and develop these staff to become stand-alone analysts who are fully conversant with all Wadi internal planning and performance management processes.
Success in this role depends on the ability of the candidate to have an eye for details as well as the ability to derive insights and communicate them timely and succinctly to the leadership.
As the accountable manager for planning and performance management you will be responsible for the creation and execution of an end-to-end planning process for the Industrial Sector, including:
• Supporting the Head of Finance in preparing the Sector’s strategy reviews
• Creation of the 3-year business plans
• Economic modelling
• Management reporting according to Wadi requirements
• Internal approvals process for capital activities
• Ownership of external business plan communications to Wadi JV partners, as applicable.
You will therefore have a proven track record of delivery in the areas of business planning & performance management. Prior grains/ manufacturing industry experience will be a significant advantage to effective performance of the role.
In addition, the role requires significant interaction with other areas of Finance, and with various technical teams. The ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance audiences is therefore essential, as is the ability to understand technical detail to allow effective multi-disciplinary working with technical teams.
