Must have experience of full EPC Build and ideally coming from a Petrochemical, Oil and Gas or Refinery background.
The Project Head is nominated by the Project Steering Committee and the Head of Projects of the Company. He/she has the overall technical management responsibility for the assigned project.
For the duration of the project the Project Head acts as entrepreneur in the name of the Company. Under this aspect the Project Head represents a key role for outer appearance, attitude, reliability, capability, commitment and perseverance thus gives an outstanding example for all team members.
He/she is a Management Representative of the Company and at least responsible for the functions and tasks described hereinafter.
Direct and manage the Project from inception thru to FEED, Engineering Design (BE & DE), and Construction phases.
Analyze the contract and explain the contractual aims within the project organization. Define contractual aims more closely so that every team member is without any doubt in a position to fulfill the tasks demanded.
Work in line with Company QHSE best practice & policies and ensure that contractors have understood them and insure contractors compliance during execution.
Guide, direct, coach and develop technical team members to perform to their best potential with special focus to the development of Locals by providing opportunities for leadership development.
Provide effective supervision through all project phases for timely commissioning and turnover.
Manage and monitor the engineering, construction, pre commissioning /commissioning at optimal cost while maintaining HSE and quality objectives.
Explore options to reduce project time and cost, while maintaining quality and HSE objectives.
Synchronize the project deliverables with the overall strategy for the Project enabling objectives to be achieved.
Conclude technical issues with Engineering Consultants & Contractors in line with the project objectives.
Insure the formation of integrated team and associated resources and supervise the activities to ensure achieving project deliverables.
Direct and supervise the implementation of the project including verification of bidders list, preparation of ITB documents consisting of terms of reference, scope of works, and project master schedule (PMS).
