With more than 750 cafés, stores and restaurants the Alshaya Food division offers a range of roles for different hospitality backgrounds. Brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, P.F. Chang's, Pizza Express and Shake Shack provide everything from quick service and casual up to fine dining. We launched many new brands in recent years and have exciting plans for 2015.
The Role:
You will plan, coordinate and direct the Food division quality control program designed to ensure continuous quality consistency with established standards. You will achieve this by monitoring food flows and quality performance trends, conducting spot-check analysis, compiling records and interpreting experimental or analytical results.
You will:
* Audit suppliers and our stores to our corporate standards.
* Maintain quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
* Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures
* Create and implement product traceability inspection criteria and procedures
* Create and implement product FEFO (first expiry first out)/UBD (use by date) movements, inspection criteria and procedures
* Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department
* Follow up and support brand teams in correcting opportunities highlighted by the external food safety audits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
You will have/be:
* Excellent self management skills
* Equivalent work experience in relevant job
* An understanding of food safety programs, HACCP principles, inspection and audit programs
* An understanding of food safety and quality management systems
* A highly-motivated individual
* Results oriented
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
* Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* The ability to share skills and knowledge with others
* Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Well organised with excellent time management skills
Arabic speaking is an advantage.
