Documentation:
1) Discuss the steps of new issue batch record, manufacturing, and packaging, in details with subordinates and send it to the Production Director when accepted.
2) Review updates in solid departments working and cleaning instructions S.O.P.s and assure its compliance with all activities in the department.
3) Evaluate with subordinates the required materials for manufacturing and packaging to achieve the monthly production solid plan and provide comments and acceptance to the production manager Haram.
4) CO-ordinate with subordinates to create outlines of training required for the solid dosage form department employees according to requirements, time availability, and company training plan.
5) Check all Batch Records before handling to the Q.A. documentation department to ensure it is completed and fulfilled according to cGMP and delivered on time.
Technical Support:
1) Monitor Solid dosage form department daily activities; receive daily and monthly reports of productivity, reject, and defect rates and deviations from production plan.
2) Direct subordinates in implementation of performance improvements plans.
3) Participate in handling external audits questionnaire and reports concerning his/her department.
4) Study the ability of applying new manufacturing processes & new technologies that foster high quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with all approved regulatory & customer requirements.
5) Report to production manager Haram required new machine specifications and data room sheets to comply with future set productivity and regulations.
Management:
1) Review deviation report; manage investigations related to S.D.F. and assign department representative in investigations.
2) Train subordinates on general S.O.P.s to ensure its compliance with production activities and initiate training plan on working and cleaning instructions for manufacture and packaging for solid dosage form department.
3) Manage subordinates to deliver reports of possible machines preventive actions, required utilities and imperfections in facilities for periodic shut down for maintenance and review before handling to Production Director.
4) Monitor performance of production sections, manage weak performance, and direct section heads to carry necessary improvements to meet company expectations.
5) Interview production supervisors and specialists and provide feedback to Production Director.
6) Direct Section Heads to implement production safety program.
7) Direct, coach, reward and discipline subordinates.
8) Lead investigation team in complains relating to his/her department, co-ordinate with other concerned parties and report to subordinates investigation results and possible corrective and preventive actions
9) Co-ordinate with subordinates to run smooth production sequence and achieve production plan on time.
10) Monitor all processes and plant conditions for safety and quality.
11) Review the malfunction reporting of any production machine, follow up with the maintenance department to fix it and handle its impact on production plan.
12) Monitor and ensure optimal production in a continuous, highly technical way while strictly conforming to in-house and regulatory limits.
13) Review the process validation and clean validation plans to subordinates, co-ordinate with Quality department in its implementation and discuss with subordinates its details and it impact on production plan.
14) Ensure that all procedures of preventing cross contamination are strictly implemented through all solid dosage form department.
